Spotlight on British Commonwealth Chapter

The 25 members of British Commonwealth Chapter invite enthusiastic, fun loving ladies of British or Commonwealth birth or ancestry, or have significant others of the same heritage, to contact us and learn more about our chapter. We are based in Pacific Palisades and our members come from the Westside of Los Angeles, Santa Monica, San Fernando Valley, Hollywood Hills and surrounding areas.

Chapter meetings are held in members’ homes on the 2nd Thursday of the month at 7:00pm. The business portion of our meetings is followed by time to socialize while enjoying tea and desserts.

British Commonwealth’s primary purpose is to raise funds for the British Home in California Inc. The Home is a non-profit, independent and assisted living retirement home for seniors located on a quiet residential area of Sierra Madre, in the foothills of the San Gabriel Mountains. We have hosted Beatle Drives for the residents who really enjoyed our time together. British Commonwealth Chapter members have two ‘special friends’ at the British Home and keep in close contact with them with visits and sending cards and gifts on special occasions.

Our fundraising efforts include garage sales, on-line sales, theater trips, a Fish & Chips supper at the King’s Head and Chapter Raffles. We also give back to the local community by collecting gifts for the Annual ‘Toys for Tots’ campaign. We encourage you to visit us at the June Faire at The British Home, where you will find hosting ‘Tea on the Patio’. Be sure to stop by and say hello!

To learn more about us just fill out the contact section of this website, mention British Commonwealth Chapter in the comments and we will be in touch.
